WRBH 88.3 FM, Radio for the Blind and Print Handicapped, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is the only full-time reading service on the FM dial in the United States. At WRBH, our mission is to turn the printed word into the spoken word so that the blind and print handicapped receive the same ease of access to current information as their sighted peers.

	30th Anniversary Gala a Huge Success!
	WRBH Reading Radio held a 30th Anniversary Gala and live auction on November 5th, 2011 at the uptown home of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Glaser. The gala, co-chaired by Tina Messina and Bonnie Hatrel, raised over $31,000 to continue WRBH's mission of turning the written word into the spoken word to allow the blind and print handicapped the same access to printed materials as their sighted peers. The evening kicked off at 6:00 pm with lively music from young blind musician Mac Potts, who traveled from Washington state for the occasion. Mac was accompanied by local twin musicians Austin and Tyler Clements. They provided a wide array of music through the evening from Jazz standards to the music of Michael Jackson and Adele. Although we had to contend with the LSU/Alabama football game, we were able to grab everyone's attention at halftime for a short presentation and the live auction. The President of our Board of Directors, Bernadette D'Souza welcomed everyone to the event and presented gifts to two outstanding individuals who have been involved with WRBH for it's entire 30 years. Those two individuals were Don Banning and Constance McEnaney. Don has been on the WRBH Board of Directors for 30 years and Constance has been a faithful volunteer reader for 30 years. We presented each of them with a gift from Mignon Faget, Ltd. Our celebrity auctioneers were Angela Hill and Mike Hoss from WWLTV. The auction included a George Rodrigue signed Saints themed Blue Dog print, a New Orleans staycation package, a golf outing for him and tea time for her, a Young and The Restless fan package, and a dinner at Le Meritage with New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead. Angela even decided to auction off the rights to the remote control to turn the LSU/Alabama game back on when the auction was over! In all the 30th Anniversary Gala was a smashing success and one that was enjoyed by all who attended.

La Voix D’Haiti is a one hour weekly news and entertainment program that features news directly from Haiti, local news and information related to Haitians living in New Orleans and the region, as well as all genres of Haitian music. The program is hosted by Hector Louis Jeune and Edner Moline. La Voix D’Haiti is presented by a collaboration between WRBH-FM and the New Orleans Haitian Relief Task Force 501(c)(3).
